My Celeb look alike is Richard Gere?!

Thursday, October 19, 2006

I'm baaaack.

I've decided that I'm going to make yearly updates on Xanga, anyways no one reads my Xanga.

I think the older you get, the faster time flies by.  It never fails that by the time I finish work, walk the dog, work out, make dinner, hit the sack.... it's already the next day.  My co worker asked me a hypothetical question the other day.... If you had an opportunity to choose only one super hero power, what would it be?  I wished that I had the ability to change time. ie. speed up, slow it down, stop it entirely.  There is so many things that I could accomplish and prevent and enjoy.

I call October my fat month.  Everyone's birthday is in October and I've absolutely gourged myself silly.  I took Jamie for his 30th birthday to the original Morton's for the absolute best steak ever.  When Jamie recieved his order, my jaw literally hit the table from shock.  That is the BIGGEST cut of prime rib I've ever seen.  It was almost gross how big it was.

Then Jamie's parents took us out to Santorini's.  His aunt gave him a Playstation 2.  What's up with giving a toy to a 30 yr old?

Jamie took me out to NoMi at the Park Hyatt. It was a fabulous fancy schmancy meal....

But I thought Morton's was better.  Here's the list of October birthdays celebrated with at least partaking in a slice of cake each... Jamie, myself, Russ, Erica, Julie, Alicia, Holly, Jeremy, Nikki, and Puddles.  Lots of cake in my belly. mmmmm.

We're coming up to a really busy time of year.  After Christmas, Jamie and I will be in full swing of our siblings weddings.  He's the best man at his brother's wedding, two weeks after I'm the maid of honor at Emily's wedding.  Sheer madness.  Not to mention all the baby showers that are coming up.  Lisa's due in December.  Amy just announced she's having a baby in March.  Jen is due in April.  Before you know it... it'll be a year from now and I'll update my Xanga then.

Oh and Congrats goes out to Emily and Dave!  They got engaged last night!

On Thanksgiving, we participated in the 2.5 Mile Turkey Trot Run in super hilly Dubuque, Iowa.  They gave a form and groups for competitors.  My group:  30-39.  Age 30.  That was the first time I had to write my age.    Go ahead, lay it on me..... I AM OLD!!!!!!!

So much has happened since my last entry.  Not that many people read my blog anyways.

-I was in China and South Korea for about 2 weeks.... What I learned: 1.  When I fly that long period of time, I am going to pay for first class.  It is worth it.  2.  I can compete on the food portion of Fear Factor.  3.  I actually shopped til I dropped and was sick of shopping *gasp*

-I was in Maui to see my brother get married and my parents renewed their vows.  We drove through the winding narrow roads to Hana and visited the Black rock beach and Red sand beach and was at Haleakela 7 sacred pools.

- I have a new career at Tom James where I am now a professional haberdasher.

-I ran a 10k and finished within a hour.

- I will be 30 next week.

- Oh and I just heard that Katie Holmes is having Tom Cruises baby.  What is this world coming to?!!!
